With a background in art direction, James’ career began with shooting music videos and branded content.  Influenced by Japanese Manga, video games, and Hip Hop in the 80’s as it emerged as a global cultural force, James has developed a hyper contemporary style that is vibrant, colourful, pop and fashion forward – an energetic mix of these early influences.

Consistently creating a premium aesthetic and with a strong technical approach, his films pulsate with an interplay of dynamic movements; a masterful mix of music and light, coupled with intense editing, results in a strong coherence to his films. His funny and animated character comes across in his lesser known, yet playful narrative work.  Innovation and diversity also strong qualities in his work, he revels in the challenge of bringing the new.
