His career began with a passion for capturing real-life stories, immersed in dangerous organisations as a documentary filmmaker.  His early journalistic career ran on a perilous edge – from investigating British gangs running Ibiza, to kidnappers in the favelas of Brazil, to the Bolivian drug trade and the Sicilian Mafia.  His work has garnered numerous awards and continues to do so today.

With Benito’s move from documentaries to commercial projects, his richly cinematic style and narrative expertise convey a deep empathy.  His body of work is characterized by a quiet cadence, combining delicate casting and cinematography to create compelling and emotionally resonant stories with an exquisite artistry.  The mastery of his craft is undeniable.
